Folk dancer, a folk dance teacher, husband, father, grandfather

About me

I was born on 16 July 1960 in Nyárádszereda. I am happily married and the father of two children. My life and my career are defined by my love of tradition and folk dance, which is not only my job but also my passion. I believe it is important to pass on what I have learned over the years, and I am available by phone, email and on various social media platforms to keep in touch with my students and followers using modern tools.

I completed my studies in Târgu Mures, where I first studied at the School of Architecture, then at the School of Folk Art, where I studied Folk Dance. Later, between 2001 and 2002, I deepened my knowledge of ethnography and folk art at the Folk University, which was the starting point of a career that led me into the world of folk dance and traditions.

During my professional career, I first worked as a member of the “Forrás” Ensemble in Târgu Mures then I continued my activities in “Vadrózsák” Ensemble in Sfântu Gheorghe, later again in “Forrás” Ensemble in Târgu Mures, where I was a folk dance teacher. But my greatest professional period was spent at Maros Art Ensemble, where I participated in numerous folklore and dance theatre productions from 1990 to 2011. These included major productions such as "Fehérlófia"the "Kőmíves Kelemen" or "Mátyás király álruhái".These are the years in both the professional and personal sense, that were instrumental for me, because these were definig the artist and education into who I am today.

After my retirement from Maros Art Ensemble, I`m still teaching Transilvanian Folk Dances at home and abroad too.
